Wadi Rum-Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum, one of the most popular destinations here in Jordan. A desert in the south of Jordan, also knows not to say why the Wadi Rum. But no matter. Somewhere very touristy, yet overwhelming, what can perhaps be seen in the pictures.

When we arrived we first started walking on it and have "Lawrence Spring" visits. For the next day we booked ne Jeep Tour, despite our avoidance of the visitor center was very expensive. But without the Jeep does not go far and Jeep sometimes not ... Pinned a 5-hour, as our Jeep has given up in between the mind and we had to wait for replacement parts. In the evening we were invited to a delicious Huehnchenessen in a "Bedouin". (The good man has law school grad and plays for the tourists to the Bedouins and does well to coal.)

The next day we went to the sand dune, there have been and are Fruehstueckspicknick then walk back, because the three camels, which we wanted to catch us, faster than we were. That's it for now ...

Wadi Hasa-Wadi Hasa

goods last weekend on tour in Wadi Wadi Hasa . The plan was a 2 day trip (Aki has found in our trekking guide a shortcut), but we had a few problems to be executed there, done where we actually wanted to start running. The coach who thought he knew where we want, we have first introduced executed somewhere else to tell us then that he was not there, goes there where we want to go. Much time verplembert are much gone too far, stopped a taxi that we have rumkutschiert for 15 JD (15 €) an hour. Unfortunately, the road was broken and he had us where else can get out, the abbreviation was deleted, but just 3-day trip through the entire wadi.

On the first day was a lot of climbing and pathfinding announced, but we could not even run as long as it was already dark. The second day was a little stressful, we rarely have indulged in a break. But nature is so nem Wadi really awesome, at least where the water flows. (see photos).

And our food has come also for 3 days ...

Syria Libanon Part II-Libanon Republic Lebanese

Following is Part II of our small trip. In Beirut, we first arrived there first, it is particularly striking green. If you come from Jordan, does that really good to feel a little bit like in Southern Europe.
Beirut is considered the most liberal city in the Middle East, here it is to give the best clubs in the region and even style of dress for women is in some European quarters. But Beirut is also very expensive, at least for the region, prices in cafes and restaurants are comparable to prices in Europe.
What is very interesting to Beirut is that it is so different. When the Shiite district laueft the Christian quarter, you think you're suddenly in a other city. As in Beirut about 50% Christian life, you can buy alcohol almost everywhere and most cafes sell beer.
But the traces of the many wars in Beirut are everywhere apparent. The downtown Solidere was completely destroyed in the civil war and a million project rebuilt a few years ago. Often you can see some bullet holes in houses, traces of the civil war and still want Some buildings completely destroyed in the city.
The traces of the last war-2006, are still strong in the southern suburbs of Beirut visible, even if slowly began to rebuild.
The political situation in Lebanon is still very tense, the many assassinations of politicians, the war last year and the upcoming elections have a high security squad to follow.

would like at this point I was still very nice on the blog of our friend and fellow travelers, to point Beth,-here's the link: www.indianabethy.blogspot.com
